CRM LLC provides training to a large variety of audiences, through numerous methods, including in-person live presentations, video teleconferences, and online training through our state of the art Learning Management System (LMS). We also provide custom training to meet your specific requirements or needs, and an International Air Transport Association (IATA) Certified CRM facilitator to address specific subjects or industries.

The commitment of the aviation industry to learn from past mistakes is the primary reason for the phenomenal impact of CRM training on safety. Throughout the entire CRM course, we analyze numerous aircraft accidents as they relate to individual lessons, with detailed analysis of each accident as it relates to each particular topic of interest.

In addition to our course offerings to corporate flight departments, we provide training to the numerous other high reliability organizations including healthcare, emergency services, and energy industries. From a human factors perspective, the parallels between aviation and other critical outcome, or high reliability industries, are remarkable. We teach CRM as pilots from a pilot's perspective. However, we are often asked to address other industry groups, from medical Grand Rounds presentations, to energy conference keynote addresses. We will tailor our presentations to meet your needs, in both content and length.

Our online training delivered through our LMS, provides very thorough and comprehensive training records. You will have permanent access to records of all of your completed training 24/7/365. For live/standup training, we provide individual completion certificates, completion letters, or both, on conclusion of each type of CRM training. For your convenience, training managers will be provided permanent LMS access to their company’s training records.

CRM for Healthcare Professionals

In the years since its inception, the overwhelming success of CRM at reducing accident related risk in aviation has caught the attention of the healthcare community. The lessons learned from CRM in the flight deck, are applicable to many different disciplines, and they have been used in the healthcare industry to effectively mitigate the threats to patient safety, that occur on a daily basis.

Like commercial aviation, the healthcare industry is subject to many risk factors, as well as a high degree of public scrutiny. Recent Institute of Medicine reports quote rates estimating that medical errors kill an alarming number of people every year in U.S. hospitals. These statistics, as well as the public concern over malpractice, highlight the fact that risk management is a crucial part of success in providing healthcare.

CRM LLC has been presenting our risk management training program to live/standup audiences in healthcare industries since 2006. Our live/standup presentation covers the history of CRM, and draws upon the numerous similarities that exist between medicine and aviation, while explaining the CRM process that has led to an indisputable reduction in accident rates. This inspiring and thought provoking course focuses on building a foundation of cultural change, risk management, and specific skill development, for accident prevention. Our highly experienced facilitators can deliver an on-site presentation, custom tailored class for any professional group.

CRM LLC has an ongoing customer relationship with Harbor View Medical Center at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA, with Doctor Richard Ellenbogen. CRM LLC has been the key note speaker for several "Grand Rounds" and the American College of Surgeons convention held in Seattle, WA in 2009.

Dr. Ellenbogen is a University of Washington professor and chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery, the chief of neurological surgery at Harborview Medical Center, and the attending neurosurgeon at Seattle Children's Hospital.

“The parallels between where medicine needs to be, and where aviation is, are uncanny. Crew Resource Management LLC facilitates a procedural based training system which is logical, very engaging, and clearly effective. It is taught by experienced aviators who understand not only their own field, but also the safety needs of the medical field.

If the medical field, or any specialty requiring critical decision capacity, adopted the Crew Resource Management principals of Communication, Team Building, Workload Management and Technical Proficiency, the world would likely be a safer place.”
